The Regional Learning Network Center organized activities for King Bhumibol Day in 2024.
On Friday, December 6, 2024, the Regional Learning Network Center, Chulalongkorn University, organized the Bhumibol Adulyadej Day commemoration ceremony for the year 2024 at the Lainan Research and Technology Transfer Station, Lainan Subdistrict, Wiang Sa District, Nan Province. Assistant Professor Dr. Noppadol Kitna, Director of the Regional Learning Network Center, presided over the ceremony.
Chulalongkorn University acknowledges the profound royal grace and expresses its loyalty to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Great, and also commemorates "Bhumibol Day," a name bestowed upon the Chulalongkorn University Student Club by royal permission from His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Great, to the Chulalongkorn University community.
The school administrators, teachers, staff, and the regional learning network center jointly participated in a charitable activity by donating native Nan red cattle and goats to farmer groups in the network and local agencies. They also donated books and educational materials to Ban Lainan School and Ban Khung Ngam Mongkol School for use in school activities, facilitating teaching and learning, and supplementing underserved school libraries. The aim is to provide children with easier access to knowledge, increase reading opportunities, and maximize the beneficial use of their free time.
In addition, participants engaged in community service activities such as landscaping, collecting fallen leaves and branches, tilling the soil, and fertilizing the herbal garden area to create a better environment. At the same time, they learned about the medicinal plants in the garden.
This activity was a collaborative effort involving over 100 people, including teachers, students, farmers, local residents, and personnel from the network center, who came together to do good deeds, build community connections, and promote sustainable development.
“"Bhumibol Day" is therefore not just a day to commemorate His Majesty's benevolence, but also reflects the power of cooperation that truly creates value for society and the community.
