The Regional Learning Network Center provides a venue for the project to expand the network of health-promoting universities for sustainable development in the Central Region.
On Friday, January 12, 2024, the Regional Learning Network Center provided a venue to Chulalongkorn University's Health Service Center for the expansion of the health-promoting university network for sustainable development in the central region. The event took place in the Professor Dr. Boonrod Binthasant Meeting Room, Saraburi Building 4, Chulalongkorn University, Saraburi Province, with 51 participants.
The event was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Narind Hiransuthikul, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, who delivered the opening remarks and participated in a panel discussion on mental health among students and university support systems. Additionally, there were discussions on the mental health of undergraduate students from partner universities, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Srisuda Wongwisetsakul, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Suan Dusit University, and on student support systems in universities, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Suraswadi Arunwaraporn, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs, Kasetsart University.
During the event, participants viewed exhibitions from Chulalongkorn University's Health Service Center and its network centers, showcasing innovations such as vetiver grass (U2T), the coordinating center for the Plant Genetic Conservation Project - Chulalongkorn University, learning innovations (Saratopia board game, CU SmartLens), native forest restoration, and a visit to the herbal garden exhibition. In addition, participants planted teak trees within the Chulalongkorn University, Saraburi campus, to increase green space and serve as a future research site for carbon sequestration. Following this, participants visited the National Primate Research Center, Chulalongkorn University, and the Biomass Fuel and Energy Center, Chulalongkorn University.
